Arnolfini/Spike Island residency
Glasgow-based artist Torsten Lauschmann has been selected from open submission to take up a residency jointly hosted by Spike Island and Arnolfini. The production period will be spent at Spike Island and it is hoped that the residency will lead to a new project, to be presented at Arnolfini in 2008. The opportunity has been initiated by Art House, a Yorkshire-based arts agency. They have devised Space for 10 as a national residency scheme, their other partners include The Chinese Art Centre in Manchester, Kettles Yard in Cambridge and the New Art Gallery in Walsall. The project has been funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.
