Albert Oehlen - an exhibition of two halves
This summer and autumn, visitors to Arnolfini and Whitechapel will have the chance to see the most major review of works by Albert Oehlen ever staged in the UK.
An incredibly influential German painter, Oehlen has been described as the artists' artist. The first leg of the exhibition "I Will Always Champion Good Painting" opened at Whitechapel, London on 7 July and closes on 3 September. The second part of the exhibition "I Will Always Champion Bad Painting" can be seen at Arnolfini 30 September-26 November.
Go to www.whitechapel.org for more info about the Whitechapel show. There is also a press release detailing an overview of the joint project on the press section of this website, accessible from the home page.
