Bookshop Showcase: Mar - May
Concrete Hermit
Chris Knight set up Concrete Hermit in 2004, originally as a website selling a small range of T-shirts online. As it developed it became a platform for promoting artists work, working with a range of artists and designers including Neasden Control Centre, Jon Burgerman and Ian Stevenson through their London gallery and retail space. They began to publish postcard books in 2005 and a selection of this work will be on display in the bookshop between March and May.
Sue Gregor: Fossilised Plastic
Bristol based jeweller Sue Gregor takes her interest in the natural world as her starting point. Each of her pieces is unique with the fine detail of the original material, often quite ordinary plants and weeds, ‘fossilized' on its surface using an individual method of dying and embossing. A selection of Sue's work is available for sale in the bookshop and makes unique and beautiful presents.
Concept Store Issue 3
Concept store is a bi-annual journal, published by Arnolfini, focusing on critical issues of contemporary art and their relationship to wider cultural, social and political contexts. While Concept Store reflects upon ideas explored within Arnolfini's artistic programme as well as future research projects, it is intended to be a critical platform in its own right, operating as a discursive space for commissioned texts, artists' contributions, interviews and other experimental forms. issue 3, Art, Activism and Recuperation will be launched in April and is available along with issue 1 and 2 from Arnolfini bookshop.
