Save Me: A Conversation Across the City

A Search Party Project

For two hours each day, for 11 days during Mayfest, Bristol-based performance duo, Search Party, spoke to each other across the reaches of Bristol Harbour, using semaphore. Save Me now returns as a book, both as a reflection of a remarkable few days in spring, when a very simple act of performance enveloped a part of the city with its striking representation of the struggles of distant connection, but also as a celebration of the contribution of passers-by who wrote of their own feelings of love and separation on little yellow tags, that became the backdrop for the event. Search Party want to share these yellow tags and, perhaps, in the process, a few more thoughts on the acts of coding and decoding that occur in our daily acts of communication. The book can now be purchased from the Bookshop priced at £14.95.

Neil Cummings, Self Portrait: Arnolfini

Over the course of Arnolfini's 50th anniversary year, artist Neil Cummings has been developing a series of self-portraits of the organisation. Presented throughout the building, these portraits trace Arnolfini's history and speculate on possible futures. Neil's artist's book, which expands further on this exhibit, can now be purchased from the Bookshop priced at £14.95.

Concept Store Journal

Concept Store is a bi-annual journal, published by Arnolfini, focusing on critical issues of contemporary art and their relationship to wider cultural, social and political contexts. While Concept Store reflects upon ideas explored within Arnolfini's artistic programme as well as future research projects, it is intended to be a critical platform in its own right, operating as a discursive space for commissioned texts, artists' contributions, interviews and other experimental forms.
