A talk with film extracts on the journal that revolutionized filmmaking, criticism and art theory - arguably the single most influential project in the history of cinema, including directors Godard, Truffaut and Rohmer, who were to become some of the greatest film directors. Emilie Bickerton is Assistant Editor at New Left Review and author of A Short History of Cahiers du Cinéma.
Godard's Histoire(s) du Cinema is screening at Arnolfini on Sat 22 and Sun 23 May - as part of the Bristol Festival of Ideas Films season.
