Closely based on the graphic novel written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons, with its alternate universe of vigilante superheroes and power-crazed U.S. politicians heading for nuclear disaster, Watchmen was described as unfilmable, but there are flashes of visual brilliance throughout, and performances that drill deep into the novel's haunted soul.

Futurology Film & Events Programme
Futurology is the cultural investigation into how representations of the future affect the present. At Arnolfini it is presented as a research and exhibitions programme investigating envisionings of the future, looking at the role of architecture and the infrastructure of the built environment within this.
The Futurology exhibition programme, starts with The Good Life and continues with Tommy Støckel and Sequelism later in 2009.
