The films in David Maljkovic’s renowned Scene for a New Heritage Trilogy (2004–6) are set between 2045 and 2071, visualising different encounters with a communist monument at the memorial park at Petrova Gora, Croatia, and speculating on how the meanings of history and monuments change over time.
Futurology Film & Events Programme
Futurology is the cultural investigation into how representations of the future affect the present. At Arnolfini it is presented as a research and exhibitions programme investigating envisionings of the future, looking at the role of architecture and the infrastructure of the built environment within this.
The Futurology exhibition programme, starts with The Good Life and continues with Tommy Støckel and Sequelism later in 2009.
