Arnolfini Live brings together artists who use performance, film and sculpture to explore dark landscapes of sexuality and desire. In this season artists use real natural environments against claustrophobic inner spaces. Using ideas stolen from fairy stories, fairgrounds, forests and Victoriana the artists reappraise the contemporary feminine in a series of shows, installations and residencies.

The path into the woods appears time after time in myth, folklore and fairytale, heavy with possibility and peril for those that venture along it. A walk into the darkness of the forest is a voyage of self-discovery and the discovery of the animal that lurks within. Reflecting on the themes of nature, myth and female sexuality raised during this weekend of performances, writer and performer Traci Kelly will lead a walk through the woods to a (fairly) secret habitation. Once there Kelly will lead a discussion with the artists and audience. Come along and share your own stories, thoughts and experiences.
