Glamorous performance duo Iain Morrison and Leiza McLeod take a journey through writings by female beat-generation authors Joanna McClure, Hettie Jones, Denise Levertov, Fran Landesman, Diane di Prima and Elise Cowen, creating eccentric, enhanced vocalisations of their works. As the myths of Beat counter-culture continue to fascinate and inspire, Gimme the Beat Girls seeks to thrust Beat-generation women writers into the spotlight.
