Rider Spoke combines theatre with game play and state of the art technology. Continuing Blast Theory’s enquiry into performance in the age of personal communication, Rider Spoke invites the audience to cycle the city, equipped with a handheld computer. Using wi-fi technology, you search for a hiding place, record a short message, and look for the hiding places of others. 

Cycling through the streets your focus is outward, looking for good places to hide, speculating about the hiding places of others, becoming completely immersed into this overlaid world as the voices of strangers draw you into a new and unknown place. The streets may be familiar but you’ve given yourself up to the freedom cycling allows and pleasure of being lost. 

Cyclists depart every 15 min, duration 75 min. Suitable for ages 16 +, some bicycles provided, however they are unsuitable for anyone under 5ft 2", so bring your own bike to avoid disappointment. Credit/debit card deposit required.
