This performance installation is developed from an ancient Hindu myth The Churning of the Ocean and the artist's love of electro-pop band Depeche Mode. The Modes of Al-lkseer premieres at Arnolfini, fusing contemporary pop culture, advertising aesthetic and tongue in cheek humour with epic symbolic imagery. It observes and locates the place of ancient religious symbolism and mythology into a world obsessed with capitalism, the celebrity and marketing gimmicks.

Due to technical difficulties the performance on Fri 26 Feb has been cancelled.Tickets purchased for Friday night are transferable to the Saturday evening performance or refunds are available for those who cannot attend, please call the box office on 0117 9172300. The Saturday evening performance will commence as planned at 8pm.
