Inbetween Time Festival and Australian theatre group Back to Back invite you to become a member of the cast of a remarkable film to be shot in Bristol this summer.

The Democratic Set invites you to create your own 15-second portrait or performance to camera. Your performance can use props or costumes, or simply depict you as you really are. Everyone is welcome and every contribution is valued equally. Your performance will be edited along with a host of others, to form the bigger film, to be premiered at a glittering gala event and premiere on 1 Dec at the opening of the IBT Festival.

Artist talk: Bruce Gladwin

The company's director Bruce Gladwin will discuss the company's work and new commission for Bristol. The talk will be BSL interpreted.

Deaf audiences
Deaf audiences are invited to collaborate with company to create their own short performance on Sun 5 Sept, between 12pm - 3pm. There will be BSL interpretation with Sandra Barefoot and James Banks.

You could come to Arnolfini with a prepared performance, with costumes and props, or come as you are and improvise on the day. You might have a skill or talent you would like to share. Alternatively you could simply stand still in the set as you are. This project explores the belief that all people are, in principle, equal and should enjoy social, political and economic rights and opportunities. Back to Back Theatre creates new forms of contemporary performance in collaboration with communities and its unique ensemble of actors with disabilities, giving voice to social and political issues that speak to all people.
