Reporter/Writer on African affairs, migrations, culture, Europe/UK/France, Melissa Cheham – and long time riend of Arnolfini – is also the author of the book ‘Out of the Comfort Zone’, about Bristol’s music/art and activism, digging into multiculturalism and the ghosts of colonial past.

Here Melissa shares the time she spent exploring African art in Bristol, including exhibitions by Nengi Omuku and Adébayo Bolaji at Arnolfini.
