Arnolfini - est 1961

“What is life? A container for magic. A conductor for nameless frissons & frictions. Electricities & energies that sustain endless expansion.”

Arnolfini, Bristol’s centre for international contemporary arts, presents British artist Emma Talbot’s latest exhibition Everything is Energy this autumn, 18 October 2025 to 8 February 2026. Through vast silk painting installations, intimate drawings, sculptural forms (which the artist refers to as ‘intangible beings) and animation, Talbot creates immersive environments that explore our relationship with nature, technology and one another.

Press Preview: Friday 17 October 2025: please contact sara.blair@arnolfini.org.uk for details.

An artwork showing a crouched nude figure rendered in earth tones against a swirling, marbled background of greens, browns and yellows. The figure appears to be in motion or transformation, surrounded by flowing, wave-like patterns. A circular text element contains partially visible writing including "What can You GRIND? Before You RETREAT" and references to "PARADISE" and "PANIC Room". The overall palette combines organic browns and olives with vibrant accent colours.
