Join Latinas in Bristol for a celebration of Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead)
Members of Latinas in Bristol will share their knowledge and passion for this wonderful Latin American tradition. Often mistaken for Halloween, Día de Muertos is a celebration of life as well as death. It is a time to honor and celebrate the lives of those that have passed on.
This year visitors can enjoy face painting, make paper ‘barriletes,’ create a catrina crown and enjoy our ofrenda—an altar to commemorate the souls of loved ones that have past and the things they enjoyed while they were alive.
There will also be a dance performance at the end of the event that shouldn’t be missed!
This is open to anyone who fancies a go, all ages welcome.
drop-in between 11-1 and 2-4 on the second floor.
