Arnolfini - est 1961

The second event of the new series will be taking place at Watershed, developed in collaboration with Salaam Shalom Youth Council, Young Arnolfini and Bristol Festival of Ideas.

This event promises to bring you another evening of discussion, challenging ideas and thought provoking debate, developed and produced by young people from across the city.

The event will explore the greyscale of racism and how it affects the lives of young people today:

Do you feel Bristol is an inclusive city? What makes us prejudice? What does racism mean to you? Are we inherently racist? How do events in media affect people’s racial prejudice?

Shabana Kausar will chair the panel made up of award-winning novelist Alex Wheatle, spoken word artist Vanessa Kissule, Halima Jama from Unity Youth Forum and lawyer Rhiannon Thomas, who specialises in issues surrounding equality.

Brought to you by an event partnership between Bristol Festival of Ideas, Salaam Shalom, and Young Arnolfini, the event is open to all:

FREE for Under 25’s (£5 full / £3 conc. for 25+). To book tickets please visit Watershed’s Website
