The year 2000 is only 20 years away. During the 80 years of the 20th century which lie behind us, new developments have taken place in the arts and sciences at an unprecedented rate. The course looks at the state of music today and asks the question, “what is the origin of the wide range of conflicting trends now in existence?”.
