AIM for Art School starts in September 2022 and is looking for people with learning disabilities to join their friendly group. They will visit exhibitions, hear from professional artists and learn new skills. Every Tuesday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm at Arnolfini. Art in Motion (AIM) is a Bristol based organisation that provides opportunities for artists with learning disabilities.
We Are Invisible We Are Visible (WAIWAV)
AIM received a national commission from DASH and worked in collaboration with Arnolfini to create a series of performance interventions inspired by Dada. The AIM artists focused on making wearable art as a starting point and for the inspiration for their interventions.
The completed work was performed on Saturday 2nd July 2022 at the Arnolfini. This event coincided with the largest ever simultaneous showing of artwork by disabled artists staged across art galleries and Museums in the UK.
