An online creative writing workshop with Egidija Čiricaitė.

As soon as words drops onto a page, they splatter into image…

Using metaphors of water, rain, snow, this workshop will explore imagistic aspects of the material and immaterial word. Deconstructing and reconstructing texts/words (and individual parts of them) into spaces and sequences of the page and the book, we will consider ways to bridge the gap between writing, seeing and image-making though visual, acoustic and conceptual spaces in language.

How do pictures build words? How do words build pictures?

Participants should bring 300ish words of text. The text can be a found/readymade text from elsewhere. It should be about rain, snow, river, lake, garden sprinklers or water of any other sort.

This event will take place online on Microsoft Teams. To book a place, please email Phil.Owen@arnolfini.org.uk
