Arnolfini - est 1961

friday 22 to Sunday 24 July

Arnolfini contributes to the events during this year’s harbour regatta by presenting Forkbeard Fantasy, the brothers Chris and Tim Britton in three caricatures from their large repertoire of brilliantly witty portrayals of eccentrics. The main events of their visit are the two evening performances inside the Arnolfini of The Brontosaurus Show in which they play two dinosaur-obsessed archaeologists painstakingly reconstructing a colossal brontosaurus skeleton. Immediately before each of these performances, they appear as Desmond Fairybreath and Dorothy to give an introductory performance talk which promises to be somewhat less serious than most of the introductory music and dance talks which are now a regular feature of the Arnolfini programme. Finally, the Britton brothers will perform The Great British Square Dance on the cobbles outside Arnolfini on Saturday and Sunday before a crowd of amazed onlookers.
