To accompany the residency Arnolfini will present Thorntons installation piece Run Away Bride which was first shown at TOU Scene, Stavanger, Norway (2007). The installation comprising video and sculpture is a study of the body in tension, contest and resistance. Three contrasting scenarios conjure up a taut emotional atmosphere of internal and external oppositions and the thrill of the in-between.
