Laïla Diallo is “Quietly Dazzling” – Evening Standard.
New Directions is a platform of new dance works by Bristol based choreographers Laïla Diallo, Charlotte Hacker and Sarah Cunliffe. Diallo will be performing her solo The Wayside, inspired by a Llasa de Sela song, which explores the physicality of loss and resilience. Hackers new work commissioned by Dance Bristol is performed by Polly Matteson. Alongside these works is the film Laura by Sarah Cunliffe, inspired by Celia Johnsons performance in David Leans film Brief Encounter.
