Fine Art Lecture Series: Ruth Ewan

Tuesday, 4th November 2008, 00:00 to 00:00

Wed 5 Nov 6.00pm

Ruth Ewan’s work explores models of propaganda and protest. She often uses the creativity of other people, from buskers to schoolchildren, to complete her performances and images. Whether attempting to teach parrots to repeat protest slogans recorded at the 2005 G8 summit or inviting a town crier to declare utopian poetry from the 1920s, Ewan explores the history and potentialities of radical ideas within popular culture.

Organised by Fine Arts, University of the West of England

£5.00/£3.00 Concs, (free for UWE staff and students with I.D)
