We have a whole feast of workshops for you this Summer! Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout August plus lots of activities on Arnold the Art Cart and our Forest Workshop space.

Every Tuesday and Wednesday our fabulous friends Let’s Make Art have a created a beautiful range of creative workshops inspired by our wonderful Forest: Wake This Ground exhibition. From circular weaving, to wearable placards to making your own forest, there will be something for everyone to get excited about. Details below.

Workshops are for all ages.  Please note we will be getting messy so don’t wear your best clothes.

Every Thursday: Forest: Wake This Ground exhibiting artist, Maria Nepomuceno is inviting us all to feed her work with a clay sculpture of a fruit, flower, vegetable or animal. All your wonderful creations will be dried and then placed on her beautiful work Voce mi Alimenta (you feed me). Workshop for Adults and children but please note we will be getting messy so don’t wear your best clothes.

Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 August: Circular Weaving
Inspired by Maria Nepomuceno’s bright colourful fibres and organic shapes, Let’s Make Art will lead families in a circular weaving workshop.

Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 August: Poster People
Make a wearable placard that speaks of our connections with the earth and the things we want to protect.

Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 August: Cardboard Landscapes
Make your own Eva Jospin style sculpture from ripped and cut corrugated cardboard held within a small, open box to display. Alongside this work we’ll we decorating large cardboard trees with paint sticks, found papers, forest animals and positive words

Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 August: Rainbow Forest
Make a vibrant forest with us and add your own magical tree using recycled papers from magazines and colourful papers.

Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 August: Sand Forest
Drip, dribble, plop and drizzle sand to make a forest scape with Let’s Make Art.
