Arnolfini - est 1961

Building on the success of The Event, a careers development evening for young people held in July, we will be offering a series of workshops and portfolio sessions in our Reading Room through Oct/Nov.

Run by arts professionals they will provide a range of support to ease the transition from school to university, and from university to the world of work.

15 November

Maia Conran
Maia makes videos and installations in which the animation of objects enlivens familiar or institutional spaces, humorously drawing attention to the boundaries of these locations. She also has an ongoing interest in shared authorship. In October she will be artist in Residence at Standpoint, London.

Phil Owen
Phil Owen trained originally as a classical musician and musicologist, while his present practice encompasses experimental approaches to the voice in speech, song and text. He is employed as Research Assistant at Arnolfini, and co-runs Tertulia, a post-disciplinary literary salon.

Free, contact Box Office on 0117 917 2300 to book a 30 minute session

Events by Young People for Young People
Over the next few months we will focus a spotlight on young people and their place within the organisation. Working with individuals from across the city we will be producing a young people’s manifesto for Arnolfini and programming a series of events for young people by young people.
