Experimental artist Lucy Gooch crafts sublime, soaring soundscapes.
Her music “joins the atmospheric quality of ambient music with the structure of choral composition and the seeming effortlessness of pop” (Pitchfork).
With this she offers a soundworld imbued with delicate mysticism, her harmonic compositions abounding in ethereal vocals, celestial synths and nimble production.
Having released her debut EP early last year, the Bristol based musician releases her follow-up ‘Rain’s Break’ this summer.
Inspired by the early technicolour films of Powell and Pressburger, this new work takes the vibrant, cinematic essence of her sound to new heights.
This is a standing show hosted at Arnolfini by our friends at Bristol Beacon.
