Join Young Arnolfini at the launch of Debut – the first issue of YA, a new quarterly zine aimed primarily at 16 – 25 year olds interested in contemporary arts and culture.

Friday 5 July 6pm – 9pm

Saturday 6 July 10am – 6pm

The YA zine is a new project from Young Arnolfini funded by Bristol City Council through their Creative Seed funding.   Providing a space for young people to profile and review contemporary art and culture, it explores exhibitions, film, music, fashion, performance and more. It’s a space to invite young artists and creators to show their work alongside both nationally and internationally renowned artists. It’s also a space for sharing work by young people’s groups and arts organisations across the country.

Issue 1, Debut, features artists, photographers, writers, rappers and creative thinkers, with an exclusive interview and pull-out poster from Berlin based artist, Yorgos Sapountzis who will be exhibiting at Arnolfini from Saturday 20 July.

Friday’s launch night includes an exhibition of Young Arnolfini’s artwork, food and live music, while Saturday features workshops, a picnic on College Green and a guest performance from Duchamp & Sons, Whitechapel Art Gallery’s young people’s group, with artist Jenny Moore.

More details to follow. Watch this space!

Event Location: Parlour Showrooms, 31 College Green, BS1 5TB.
