A durational performance continuing Hurley’s investigation into the shamanoid. This series of work involves ritualised actions exploring the role of art, the artist and the human within a contemporary technologised context. Through meditation, endurance, humour and mess, Hurleys work operates both on the level of image and that of empathy, attempting to move beyond social and physical figuration of the human.
