featuring Bill Orcutt, Mark Stewart, Ossia, Gnod, Liberez, The Evil Usses, The Jelas, Phantom Chips & more

PLAYPEN is an evening of artfully engineered chaos taking over the auditorium: a lo-fi, hi-jinks meta-gig in which a plethora of quick fire, energising music and audio-visual interventions flow round the space in a blur of ever-shifting performance dynamics.

Artists getting caught in the three hours of crossfire include Pop Group frontman and legendary Bristol music provocateur Mark Stewart: US free improv/blues/punk solo guitar channeller Bill Orcutt: Young Echo no-fi dub upsetter Ossia: many-tentacled Manchester psych collective Gnod: Southend industrial shape-shifters Liberez: out-jazz miscreants The Evil Usses: protractor-defying art/rock upstarts The Jelas and analog noise merry-maker Phantom Chips. More names to follow.

Produced by Qu Junktions in collaboration with Arnolfini.

This event is part of the Art Weekender – Bristol and Bath.
