FROM BALI

thursday 22 november 7.30pm

Tickets £4 S £3.50 from the Victoria Rooms, Queens Road, Bristol students claimants OAPs £2.80 (on £3.50 tickets only)

The Balinese have one of the richest and most exciting performing-arts traditions in the world, with a wealth and variety of music and dances. The village of Saba is renowned for its graceful Legong dance performed traditionally by young girls, and accompanied by the beautifully toned, tuned gongs of the gamelan orchestra. The programme features a spectacular dance-drama involving the wonderful Barong, the friendly Balinese dragon, protector from evil spirits.

Will patrons kindly note that the correct date for the Saba Sari dancers is thursday 22 november, and not thursday as stated in the Arnolfini Music Series Leaflet published in September.
