Inspired by Paula Rego’s Subversive Stories exhibition, our friends Let’s Make Art are treating families to two activities in one workshop!

Paula Rego’s artworks are often inspired by stories – especially the traditional folk tales and nursery rhymes she heard her grandmother tell when she was a young girl.

Taking inspiration from her black and white etchings, we are inviting you to delve into your imagination and be your own storyteller by creating your own cut out characters to be part of our shadow puppet projections.

We will also be turning vintage posters of feathers, flora, fauna, insects, fungi, sealife, etc. into artworks with explosions of colours and patterns.

Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 April, 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm, 2nd floor, in the Light Studio at Arnolfini.
