How does anyone do it? Is it just a waste of time? Can you really get noticed? Theatre Bristol and Arnolfini host this irreverent, fun event to tell you the all to brutal truths and the success stories about Edinburgh Festival.

To quote a recent tweet from Edinburgh star Bryony Kimmings, ‘The lack of disabled access is horrific, the payment of staff mostly too low, and the promise of success and thus the reek of desperation in equal parts nauseating and intoxicating.’

Join Theatre Bristol’s Artists Support Associates Tom Marshman and Alex Murdoch as they take on opposing views in order to help you decide if you need to go, or if there are alternatives to presenting your work in the chaos of Edinburgh. Tom and Alex have invited comrades in arms Emma Bettridge and Katie Cooper, super producers with insider Edinburgh knowledge, to take down the opposition!

All proceedings will be chaired by Theatre Bristol Creative Director, Tessa Wills.

This event takes the form of Theatre Bristol’s tried and tested Open Office, causal in style with lots of tea and biscuits and informal chatting, but we encourage you to come at the start time, in order that things are not repeated. Book your free ticket and come and take a stance.
