IN BETWEEN TIME SUMMIT 2019 | Responding to Arnolfini’s relaunching exhibition Still I Rise exploring patriarchal hierarchies, gender stereotypes and inequality.

Co-presented by In Between Time and Arnolfini as part of In Between Time Summit

During the first US presidential debate in 2016, Donald Trump interrupted Hillary Clinton 51 times.

The afternoon panel responds to Arnolfini’s relaunching exhibition Still I Rise bringing together In Between Time’s Director, Helen Cole, with Arnolfini’s Head of Programme, Kieran Swann, and leading artists from Arnolfini’s exhibition and the IBT Summit programme.

The panel, chaired by Dr Finn Mackay (UWE / Feminist Archive South) will explore the work of artists who resist patriarchal hierarchies, gender stereotypes and inequality.

This event is part of the In Between Time Summit Day 2 programme, and Still I Rise: Feminisms, Gender, Resistance – Act 3. Still I Rise is a large-scale exhibition of international artists, highlighting the experiences of women and celebrating their triumphs – with an expanded programme of performances, screenings, workshops and talks filling Arnolfini through Autumn 2019.
