A rare opportunity to see the hybrid art performance of this Melbourne-based company. Virtual Humanoids is an exploration of art, reality, hyperreality and virtual reality, through a night in the life of the computer hacker Setarcos. It explores the World Wide Web and the virtual world “Ozone City”, intercutting the live with virtual and video performance. “Effects to make Hollywood weep… the collision of their absurd humour and the advanced technology is like the Goons meeting Blade Runner.” Herald Sun. “Sensationally beautiful” RealTime Magazine. There will be an informal post-show discussion with the company and Melbourne’s outstanding digital dance artists, Company in Space. Supported by Arts Victoria and Australia Council for the AAS
