Join practicing artist Richard Kenton Webb, Programme Leader BA (Hons) Drawing & Print at UWE Bristol as he explores the question of how drawing can be used as a tool, as a way of thinking and to uncover the unconscious and deep mysteries that lie within ourselves.
Using reflections on the writings of Wilfred Bion, Jacques Lacan and DW Winnicott, along with the experiences of a recent two-month international residency in the depths of Tasmania, Australia, he shows examples of a journey of discovery.

About Richard Kenton Webb
Richard Kenton Webb was born in Kent in 1959. He studied at The Slade School of Fine Art London 1978-82 and The Royal College of Art London 1983-86. He has taught at some of the UK’s top art colleges, including The Slade School and The Royal Drawing School. He now lives in Gloucestershire and is Programme Leader of Drawing and Print at UWE Bristol. Richard has been awarded several international artist in residence programmes to Italy and Paris, most notable of which was The Boise Travelling Scholarship to Rome, the SACI International School in Florence and The LARQ Residency in Tasmania (2014-15). Recently, his work has been shown in group shows at The Royal West of England Academy and The Royal Academy, as well as a two-person show at The Atkinson Gallery at Millfield School. He has also had solo shows at Celia Lendis Contemporary and The Corinium Museum. Internationally, he has recently exhibited in The Guanlan International Print Biennial in China; the Tokyo International Mini-Print Triennial, Japan; and then a solo show at The Ten Day Festival in Tasmania, Australia.
