Sonia Boyce came to prominence as part of the Black British Cultural Renaissance of the 1980s. Her work addresses issues of race, ethnicity and the contemporary urban experience. Over the last ten years, through undertaking what she terms improvised collaborations with communities of interest, she has explored how cultural differences might be articulated, mediated, shared and enjoyed. Sonia will discuss her work to coincide with her new exhibition Like Love at Spike Island.
