A Study Day on Eleanor Antin for Students
An in-depth look at the work of this influential artist including presentations and discussion led by cultural historian Valerie Reardon and curator Rachael Thomas. The day will also include a look at how artists such as Antin, Tracey Emin and Cindy Sherman explore gender constructions and ideals through narrative and performance. The two films that follow this Study Day, Not for Sale (Laura Cottingham 1998) and The Company of Strangers (Cynthia Scott 1990), have been selected to explore further some of these ideas. Study Day ticket holders gain free entry to both films. This event is aimed at art, art history and performing arts students but all interested people are welcome.
