In the wake of new media such as installation, video, performance and digital art, the traditional medium of painting has enjoyed a renaissance among a recent generation of artists. Vitamin P, newly published by Phaidon, aims to represent in an A to Z survey of 114 leading new international painters, illustrating the richness of the practice of painting today. Barry Schwabsky, co-curator of Arnolfinis Shimmering Substance exhibition earlier this year, will introduce the book.
