Join Arnolfini’s learning team and artist Jenny Moore as we play with the noises of natural objects, creatively exploring the connections between music and the exhibition by Richard Long.
Take part in a noisy workshop with artist and musician Jenny Moore as she uses sound to explore Richard Long’s exhibition. Jenny makes live events, using music, sculpture and performance to collaborate with others.
Families will be encouraged to join in to make music together!
Jenny’s recent performances include Library Gallery, Canada; Wysing Music Festival, Cambridge; Victoria & Albert Museum, London. Other recent projects: Almanac Projects, Tate Modern, South London Gallery, Hayward Gallery (all London), LA Pedestrians (Los Angeles), Bergen Kunsthalle (Norway), and the Printed Matter Art Book Fair (New York).
Most suitable for ages 5+ but all ages are welcome to have a go.
Richard Long: TIME AND SPACE
This event accompanies the major exhibition TIME AND SPACE by Richard Long at Arnolfini, that explores the artist’s enduring relationship with the landscape of Bristol and the South West – a starting point for so many of his iconic works. This exhibition will bring together recreations of previous important works and entirely new commissions, both in the gallery and on The Downs, where the artist spent much of his childhood.
