Join storyteller Liz Felton of The Story Cellar on an adventure across the stormy seas in ‘Summon Simorgh’ an interactive storytelling adventure.
Drawing inspiration from our exhibition Zanjir, families are invited to return precious photos to Princess Taj and summon Simorgh – an Iranian Mythical bird – facing creatures from the deep, a musical volcano and high mountain passes.
We Are Family: Storytime events welcome families of all ages, but this event is perfect for 4 – 10 year olds. Booking is advised for these events with drop-in spaces based on availability on the day.

There is wheelchair access throughout the building. We can provide backed-seating. We have accessible and gender neutral toilets as well as baby changing facilities and buggy park. There is a hearing loop by request in advance.
The nearest parking spaces for blue badge parking is at the Grove car park.
This event is Fantastic for Families. Our Galleries are family friendly and we encourage families to investigate our exhibitions together. There will be Family Activity Packs available in our gallery spaces.
