Join artist Hazel Hammond in this special panel discussion to mark World Stroke Day. In the associated exhibition Not the Same Poet, Always an Artist ‘Hazel depicts her journey through drawing, watercolour and knitted hats, which are often macabre, witty and anatomical.

This year, Hazel has made a series of short films, delving into all aspects of life post brain injury.

Also on the panel will be Tom Stubbs (BiggerHouse Film) and Liz Clarke (Liz Clarke & Company) who have collaborated with Hazel on this work. This Q&A will cover the role of creativity in recovery, the teams’ creative process and insights into art, life and poetry post brain injury. Suitable for anyone interested in the power of arts in recovery, adults living with brain injury, their families and carers, medical professionals and the curious! The panel will be chaired by Lerato Dunn (Arts Development Officer, Bristol City Council, community dance practitioner and Board member of Arts & Health South West).
