A community making space at UWE Frenchay is now open!

Visit the Bryophyte Club Making Space in Room 2S510 in S-block at UWE Frenchay campus and join in with free making sessions and workshops throughout spring 2023 to help create a series of bronze sculptures and brick clay seating structures inspired by the forms of mosses, lichens and other overlooked plants.

The sculptures were designed with local people, staff and students at the University through workshops held in autumn 2022. We invite all participants back to have a hand in the next stage of creation.

The Making Space is free and open to all staff, students and people local to UWE Frenchay (Frenchay, Stoke Gifford, Filton, Lockleaze, Cheswick Village…). No art experience necessary – have a go at making art together, playing, relaxing and meeting new people.

Set up by artists Juneau Projects as part of an ongoing public art project, a joint project between Arnolfini and UWE Bristol, to create a sculpture garden for the new student accommodation development at UWE Frenchay.
